Fall in FLorida

About this Photo

A beautiful Coral Cove park sunrise. There aren’t too many places to find fall colors in South Florida. As a landscape photographer, it takes a bit more effort to find those gold and auburn tones. Fortunately, when golden hour light shines down on coquina formations, you are able to see all the colors of fall. This is what Fall in Florida looks like. The best parts about it is not worrying about shoveling snow and also being able to enjoy the beach without being bundled up.

About my art and what I stand for:  I draw my inspiration from the sounds and movement of nature, especially those of the sea. I look beyond the landscape and capture its nuances instead, making my photography stand apart from others. One distinct feature of my work is how I use varying “slow” shutter speeds to give my photos a more impressionist feel. I favor light and composition over anything else. My portfolio is a love letter to my home state of Florida. You won’t find “grand” vistas or images of tourist traps, but instead, intimate landscapes, portraits of old Florida, and a unique view of the ocean. At its core, my photographs are meant to invoke the same feeling of peace I experience while out in the wild. But my message is one of conservation to protect, respect, and cherish Mother Nature. For this reason, I give ten percent from each sale to local charities and foundations that help protect Florida’s natural landscapes, seascapes and wildlife.
