Florida’s landscape doesn’t announce itself the way mountains do. It rewards patience instead: a lightning cell tracking across the sawgrass at dusk, fog threading through a cypress strand at first light, the flat immensity of a wet prairie under a towering summer thunderhead. These photographs were made across the Greater Everglades. Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, and the working wetlands around them over years of returning to the same places in every season and every kind of weather.

Florida’s swamps are among the most misunderstood landscapes in America, and to me, the most beautiful. This gallery gathers my favorite photographs of coastlines, cypress swamps and wetlands, from fog lifting off blackwater at dawn to ancient trees draped in Spanish moss, glowing in golden light.
These wetlands are also among Florida’s most threatened places. Each limited edition print in this collection celebrates what still thrives here, and carries a quiet argument for protecting it.
